CHALLENGING SOCIETAL NORMS

Men often struggle to find a space where they can be themselves and connect with others without the weight of societal expectations. The Caribbean and African Community Health Support Forum created a project that provides a place for men to breathe called: 'It's All About You' which opens up the room for men to be their authentic selves.  

This project has led to a dedicated group of Door Openers who are passionate about fostering positive change in their homes, workplaces and communities.

It has been my pleasure to partner with the men and be a bridge in their conversation, but as of March 2025 the contract concludes giving space for the men to move forward on their own.  

It was incredible to be part of a team that was awarded The Kings Award (MBE for the voluntary sector) from Buckingham Palace for 2024 and Charity of the Year at the 6th Suffolk BME Business Awards 2024.
