Holding the Mic, Holding the Moment (November 2025)

It was an honour and a joy to be part of the team of presenters at the Suffolk Exceptional Policing Awards - a night that celebrated courage, compassion and commitment across our county's police force. This wasn't just an awards evening ~ it was a moment to pause, reflect, and uplift the people who show up every day to protect and serve, often in ways that go unseen.

As the awards were introduced I found myself moved by the humility of the recipients. Their actions save lives, support victims, go the extra mile and spoke volumes about the values that underpin the awards.

One of the most powerful aspects of the evening was the recognition of those whose work often goes unnoticed. Civilian staff, volunteers, and the behind-the-scenes teams all who contribute to the overall success.

It reminds us all that excellence is not a destinaton ~ its a daily practice, and that every act no matter how small, has the power to change lives.
