Being asked to deliver a workshop at The National Women of Colour Conference 2026 is one of those moments that makes you pause, breathe deeply and recognise the weight and privilege of the invitation. This isn’t just another event. It’s a gathering of women who carry history, responsibility, excellence and resilience in equal measure. To be trusted with space in that room, a room shaped by lived experience, leadership and legacy, is something I hold with genuine gratitude.
Our voice, visible fuelled by courage to speak truth with care. So stepping into this conference, surrounded by people who understand the complexities of navigating systems while holding community on their shoulders, feels like a natural extension.
The workshop is not simply about sharing knowledge; it’s about co‑creating it. Women bringing depth and insight that cannot be replicated or rehearsed. My role is to hold the space with intention, guide conversation and curate an environment where honesty is met with dignity.
Not performance, but presence.
There is a grounding in shared understanding, but also a rising sense of possibility, ambition and unapologetic ownership of our narratives. These moments remind us that we are not isolated voices trying to be heard in separate corners; we are part of a wider movement shaping culture, policy and practice.
